COVID-19: Nigeria Records 118 New Cases As Infections Rise To 61,558

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported no death from the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in Nigeria.

The centre, in its daily update on Monday, also reported 118 new cases.

There was a decease of 15 cases from the 133 reported on Sunday.

The NCDC also disclosed that 86 recovered patients were discharged across the country.

9 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported new cases on Monday.

Lagos State recorded most new cases with 51 followed by Rivers with 26 new cases.

Others are Imo (12), Osun (8), Plateau (6), FCT (5), Kaduna (4), Ogun (3), Edo (2), and Niger (1).

So far, 61,558 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded.

While 56,697 patients have recovered, 1,125 have lost their lives to the disease.
